Sustainability in the curriculum can be fun! We teach school children & teachers how to make their own recycled paper good enough to use & sell. Whether it’s primary, secondary or tertiary, it’s always fun to make good paper which could end up in a book, card or envelope. The scope for sustainable projects is limitless.
Our school workshops are very inclusive and suitable for all ages from Prep apwards. We understand schools and make organising a workshop in your school as easy as possible for you. To make recycled handmade paper properly in sufficient quantities for your project takes 2 hours, and the paper will be dry the next day usually. This allows for 2 workshops per day at your school; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. All we need is a space with tables, water and power. Outside, under cover is brilliant in terms 4 & 1, but any multipurpose area will do. Hot water is nice too and the tables will get a little damp, so art/utility room is good. Workshops can also be organised via Parents & Friends! Talk to us about the different ways we can encourage sustainability through papermaking for your community.
